How it works
How cancellation works
An escrow sits between a vendor and a beneficiary, so one side can't pull protection out from under the other. Read what ending an escrow involves, how long each stage takes, and what happens to billing in the meantime.
Which situation are you in?
1
You have a live escrow you want to end.
You give written notice, your counterpart approves it, we validate the request, and then a three-month notice period runs. Billing continues throughout.

2
You want to close your Codekeeper account.
You submit a change request, we validate it, and 30 days' notice applies before your renewal date.
See the steps
Ending an escrow takes three months
An escrow agreement holds three parties: the vendor who deposits the software, the beneficiary who depends on being able to reach it, and Codekeeper. None of the three can end the agreement alone, so ending an escrow runs to a notice period.
Step 01
Tell us in writing
Start a change request in the app, or email service@codekeeper.co.
Step 02
The counterpart approves it
Escrow exists to protect both sides of a software relationship, so ending it without their say-so would defeat the purpose.
Step 03
We validate the request
Codekeeper checks every termination before it proceeds.
Step 04
A three-month notice period runs
Legal issues don't show up on a product-sprint clock; this window is so problems can surface, everyone stays protected, and it ends in compliance.
The three months start once we’ve gotten confirmation from all parties involved. If the escrow agreement sets different terms, that agreement wins.
Closing the account takes 30 days
You can run more than one escrow on the same account, and ending one of them removes that agreement without touching the account it sits in. The account is the subscription, and it carries on until you close it separately.
Step 01
Submit a cancellation request
Log in and submit one from your account, so we know you want the subscription switched off.
Step 02
We validate the request
We check every cancellation before it proceeds.
Step 03
A 30-day notice period runs
You stay billed to the end of the period, and we don't refund unused time.
Your subscription renews for the same period unless we hear from you at least 30 days before the current one ends.
How to start
You can start a change request in the app, or email service@codekeeper.co with the account name and "termination" in the subject
If you've already asked and nothing has moved, reply on your existing thread or contact customer support, and we'll tell you where the request sits.
